Healing Our Church, by RENEW International, a nonprofit organization that provides Catholic ministry services throughout the world, will feature discussions in parishes throughout the Diocese. The discussions will be moderated by fellow parishioners and are designed to encourage reflection and conversation.
“Healing Our Church is an opportunity for all of us to prayerfully reflect on scripture, on the abuse crisis, and on our path forward as a Roman Catholic Family of Faith,” said Bishop Alfred Schlert. “We want people to be able to express their thoughts, feelings and concerns about this issue in the prayerful comfort of their own parish environment.”
The weekly discussions begin the week of March 4, coinciding with the six weeks of Lent, a traditional time of deep reflection before Easter.
